VFX Artist, Cinematographer, Writer
Always an avid movie-goer, Craig Helfer got his start behind the scenes in 2005 when Andrew Hookway asked him to be a part of a class project called Darth Moby: Hunt for the White Sith. After his time spent in production, something stuck with him; the hunger to become a filmmaker. Craig soon began to write, direct and act in projects of his own creation. He collaborated on two more films with Andrew, Red Letter Day and Heroes: A Deafening Silence. When he received word about the production of Abstract Messiah, a feature being made by Key Pixel, he wanted to be part of something fun and special so he hopped on a bus to Buffalo and the rest is history. Although this may sound corny or cliche, Craig regards Andrew as the direct influence to becoming a filmmaker.
